Q The tiles I received are all bumpy or have ridges, the ones online are flat and smooth.  What's the deal?
A Most of our glass tiles come face mounted on paper or tile tape.  This means that when you get your tiles you will be looking at the back of the tiles.  The backs have ridges for better adhesion when installing.  The bumpy side goes onto your adhesive and the paper soaks off or the tile tape pulls off.  Please refer to our Installation Guide.

 

Q How much do you charge for shipping?
A We offer two shipping options for every order...UPS and USPS Priority Mail. The rates provided have been taken directly from the shipping company's website, so they are the actual shipping costs. We will usually ship your order within 2 days of the placement. The shipping time is approximate. We cannot be responsible if your order takes slightly longer to be delivered once it has been shipped. We leave that one up to the shipping service.

Q Do you charge a handling fee?
A Yes. $2.00 will be added to your order's total for handling.

Q Why do the colors I received appear to be a different color than they were on-line?
A Since all monitor settings are slightly different, the color of your new tile may not be exactly what you expected. We have tried to describe the actual colors, but as you can imagine, this is not an exact science. All tiles of the same name should be identical to each other, except in the case of some of the swirled tiles. If you are planning a large mosaic project, we strongly suggest that you purchase samples first. But if for any reason you are not delighted with the color of your tile, please refer to the return policy.

Q What methods of payment can I use?
A We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. By mail, we accept personal checks and money orders. Please note that all monies must be in US Dollars

Q Do you accept international orders?
A We do accept international orders. However, all transactions are done in US currency only. You will have to pay actual shipping costs plus the $2.00 handling fee. We apply insurance whenever we can. However, there are certain countries that won't allow us to do this. If no insurance can be applied then we are not responsible for loss or damage. Please note that Glass Tiles of Oklahoma is not responsible for any brokerage fees or taxes that may be charged by the receiving country. Those charges are not a part of the shipping fee paid upfront.

Q My tiles came attached to a paper backing. When I tried to peel them off, some paper residue stayed behind. What am I doing wrong?
A The proper way to remove the tile from its paper backing is to soak it in warm water for about 5 minutes. The tile should slide right off. Be sure to swish the tile in the water to remove any excess glue residue.  If applying the tiles as a full sheet please refer to our Installation Guide.

Q My tiles came attached to a mesh backing. How do I remove them?
A It is easiest to soak the sheet in warm water for several minutes and then pull each tile off.

Q I ordered a sample of the tile previously but now the tile colors are different.
A Our dye lots change regularly with our tile (as often as once a month). Your sample should match any tile ordered within a 2 week time frame of receiving the sample. Feel free to call us to guarantee that you get the exact color you want.

 

Q I need to order more of a particular glass tile but now I don't see it on your site.
A Since we specialize in glass tile liquidation, we cannot guarantee that any particular color/style will be in stock after your initial purchase.  Please be sure to order enough for your project and add in a little extra.
